so then, just a couple of days to our first Glastonbury slot of the year. You know the score by now, here’s the slots…

 Thursday - Pussy Parlure, Dance Village 9pm.
This will be one of our Juke Joint gigs - we bring 1000s of tunes, you choose what ones we play from a big book. If you’re a PROD regular and bring something you want played - AND buy us a drink - we might play it for you.

Saturday - Pussy Parlure, Dance Village 10am.
This will be a Randy & Earl’s Old Record Club gig, where we’ll be cheering up the comedown kids with old soul, gospel, country and the like. It’s a great way to start another muddy day

 We’re on in the Silent Disco and the backstage bar too, and possibly the Chapel, but god knows when, so ask us when you see us.

So that was the last PROD until the autumn. It was a slow start but then you arrived in rain-soaked, drunken bunches and did us proud. Great music, some great people, some mind-boggling displays of drunkeness.

We’d like to thank Comrade Tayto for fixing it so we could pretend we had corporate sponsorship (and then he couldn’t make it because the dentist had been particularly brutal).

We’d also like to thank the lovely Comrade Gashead for getting there early and keeping us amused while we set-up.

Meanwhile, till the next one (on September 29th), we’ll be in the new PROD Tour bus speeding towards another flooded field.

So after all the excitement around this web relaunch (well, we were excited even if you bloody weren’t) we can start thinking about the next People’s Republic of Disco.

It’s on May 26th - at the Canterbury as ever - and it’s the last one before we take our summer break (during which time, all being well, we’ll be all over the country doing PROD or Randy & Earl-style things in fields). So unless you want to wait until - gasp! - September 29th for your next fix of PROD, you should probably make it along.

Also, in the latest stage of PROD’s repositioning as a key player in the global marketplace, May’s PROD will have a CORPORATE sponsor for the very first time.

Having realised with a heavy heart that you just can’t get the webmonkeys these days, the PROD collective have decided to abandon all hope of a clever, bells and whistles website and do it all themselves. So here - not quite complete - is the new People’s Republic of Disco web presence.

In a slightly shambolic, Heath Robinson kinda way (and thus very much in keeping with the air of drunken amateurism that makes PROD what it is), this blog will do all the things the old site used to do, only it’ll be updated more often and won’t look quite as pretty.

So - watch this space, and the others in the sidebars, as we start filling it all up with nonsense.

Meanwhile, it’s the April PROD tomorrow - just two more till the summer, comrades
